To choose paper for an Origami S, check two things: the size of the dripper and the shape of the filter. ORIGAMI supports both conical and Wave papers, but it is best to use the corresponding size reference.
Conical or Wave
The conical ends in a point; the Wave has pleats and a flat bottom. That difference changes how the coffee bed sits. When changing formats, review your recipe: do not expect the same grind setting to always produce the same extraction time.
Options at Sinaz
- Origami conical filters: select the 1–2 cup variant for the S size.
- Origami Wave S Cup 2: pack of 50 flat-bottom filters for the small size.
Before you buy
Check the reference for your dripper, whether it is Air or porcelain. Do not choose a paper just because it looks similar in the photograph. Also check if you need a holder to place it over your cup or carafe.
How to compare the two papers
Use the same coffee, weigh the coffee and water, and record the grind, pours, and total time. Try one change at a time and compare the drink once it has cooled down a bit. The final preference will depend on the coffee and the recipe.
